The Tarbiyah program strives to instill within each student love and understanding of Allah and his Messenger (SA), as well as a positive Muslim identity and commitment to religion, family, and community.
Qur'an and Islamic Studies
Maktab education is ironically the most important and at the same time most neglected institution of primary education. It serves as the lifeline to the preservation and protection of the Islamic faith.
INK's Tarbiyah Program is committed to teaching students the recitation of the Qur'an with Tajweed and instilling within them the central and essential teachings of Islam which are obligatory on every Muslim to learn. This program is geared towards each and every Muslim boy and girl in our community and is an ideal opportunity for school-going children to learn the recitation of the Qur'an, gain an Islamic education, and learn Islamic values and morals in a conducive environment.
INK strives to instill in each student the love and understanding of Allah (SWT), Rasulullah (Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam), and Islam, and develop within them a positive Muslim identity committed to religion, family, and community by nurturing students' moral and ethical values, thus preparing them to play pivotal roles in the American Muslim community.
INK's Tarbiyah Program will be structured using a world-class tried and tested syllabus which is focused on the Islamic upbringing of youth from childhood to adolescence and beyond. The program not only concentrates on Qur'an recitation with correct Tajweed, but also on Islamic disciplines such as the Seerah & Sunnah of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam), Islamic legal rulings, Islamic History & Heritage, Du'aas for various occasions, and Prophetic Narrations.
With the help of Allah, a child attending this program will be developed both ethically and academically in Islamic values and education in a gradual yet effective and definitive manner until he/she reaches a point where adhering to the Deen and Sunnah will be deeply ingrained in his/her mind and soul.
This program will consists of 8 hours of in-class teaching and interaction per week, Monday through Thursday. Along with the academic rigor of the program, we will focus on the spiritual upbringing of the students to protect ourselves from the warning in the following hadith:
"Whoever increases their knowledge, yet does not increase in guidance, he does not increase in anything except distance from Allah"
